The First Time (2009 film)

The First Time is a 2009 American teen comedy film directed by Barbara TopseRothenborg, based on the book Love At First Hicup by Dennis Jrgensen. The film is an American remake of the Danish film Krlighed ved frste hik, which was released in 1999.

Freshman, Victor Knudsen, falls for the beautiful senior, Anya Benton. When introducing himself he hiccups as he says his name. The student body soon begins to mock him, especially Anyas boyfriend Peter, who calls him Viccup. At a party, Victor and Anya bump into each other and they share a SpiderMan style kiss to stop his hiccups, which ends up being a dream.The next day, Victor overhears Peter and Marisa talking about Anyas virginity in the bathroom. Peter reveals to Marisa that he wants to have sex with Anya on Wednesday because her parents wont be home. Victor believes that Peter doesnt really love Anya, and so he goes to her house to warn her of Peters intentions but he chickens out, and only whispers it under his breath as she drives off. ........
